I prepared this one straight, about a teaspoon that was remaining in 8 ounces of warm water.

This is just weird. It’s not anything like mulled wine or cider…

I’m having Vahdam flashbacks as this is basically a turmeric tisane with black pepper and a bit of orange peel. I get some sweet beety notes as well, which I don’t mind. It’s not horrible, but it’s not good either.

At least the color is nice, a rich coral-red, from the combination of rooibos and beetroot.

I made it straight in vanilla oat milk, and it just tasted like orange creamsicle that way.
