Dry this smells like Plum and Cinnamon and MAYBE a little licorice – but not much to the nose.

I just finished infusing this and when I saw the color I freaked because I assumed it had Hibiscus in it…BUT…it doesn’t! WOOT! Extra Points for that!!!!

This is quite smoother than I thought it would be. Which I am thankful for!

I can taste Plum and maybe the currants, too…they are very wine-like. The cinnamon isn’t an intense cinnamon type taste – I can smell it more than taste it…and the licorice is pretty much the same way…together they knock down the tartiness of the fruit and it works out VERY nice!!! This is very warming and comforting and fruity and fun but not overly tart and I like that. I think this would be good iced, too…but for now – I’m doing HOT Tea! This is a nice treat!

Anoither sample from ATR. I got this because it’s hard to find a fruity herbal without hibiscus, I thought I’d give it a go.

Smells very aromatic in the cup after brewing and is a nice dark reddish color. I don’t get much licorice in here at all and the aftertaste is incredibly tart. I don’t mind licorice root as much as other people and I think it could use some more, lol. Definitely tastes like cinnamon and stone fruit but I wish there was something more that could have been added to cut down on the tartness. Sadly I’m not sure if I will finish the cup I’m drinking, it smells amazing though.

ya right, the scent of this tea is pungent! but it tastes much mellower thank goodness. my sis immediately said it smelled like cough syrup (granted she also has a cold at the moment hah). but the taste of the tea is very much currants and very little cinnamon. which both work for me pretty well.

it’s not one i need to get in my cupboard again soon, but i could see myself buying a sample from time to time for some variety in my cupboard.

a lot has happened for my head space in the past 24 hrs.
unrelated, issue #1 of the new Black Widow comic series is released today. i’m not a collector or anything. but i was an art major. so i think i’ll go pick it up. i’m super curious. and all the covers and most of the art is gonna be by Phil Noto (philnoto.tumblr.com/) …who has been supplying me with phone & computer wallpaper for a few years now. (please please i hope she is written smart please please please) (don’t fuck it up Marvel!)
