This blend was inspired by a blend I used to offer as LiberTEAS. I called it Starry Night back then (as a tribute to my favorite painting of all time!) but I felt that Tropical Sunset was a more appropriate name for this tea. I start with a base of organic green rooibos and add mango, papaya, peach and a touch of juicy orange. Then I add rose petals, calendula petals and amaranth petals. The petals are primarily to add beauty to the dry leaf, but they do add just a hint of floral taste to the cup.

The overall taste is – not surprisingly! – very fruity! Very tropical! It’s a really refreshing beverage and tastes good hot and amazing iced!

I was unsure about green rooibos, but this is absolutely delicious. The fruit combination is amazing together, I can taste all sorts of tropical fruits like melon, papaya, and maybe passion fruit? Or guava? I’m not sure, but it goes very well with the rose petals. I also appreciate that this gets a little bit acidic (think tropical fruit juice) but not sour/overly acidic. It smells so good, my friend asked me what was in my cup and asked to taste it.
