So much yum in one teacup! Sweet bananas & chocolate along with a freshly baked note. A perfect cuppa any time: day or night!
Countdown to Catching Up, Part 2 – Tea 8 (Counting Down from 10 to 1!)
This tea makes me so happy. Then again, most banana teas do. Same with chocolate teas. So to have both chocolate & banana in one tea – time for a happy dance!
There is a really nice balance between chocolate & banana flavors, with just the right touch of freshly baked, bready/cakey flavor. A hint of butter. A touch of honey. So much yum in one tea!
It’s also organic, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-friendly, caffeine-free (except for the traces in the chocolate chips & cacao nibs/shells) & all natural!
organic ingredients: honeybush, cacao shells & nibs, bananas, vegan chocolate chips & natural flavors.
to brew: shake the pouch to make sure all ingredients are well-incorporated. The chocolate chips especially tend to shift toward the bottom of the pouch due to their weight compared to the other ingredients in this blend. So, before you open the pouch, turn it upside down & give it a gentle shake!
Use 3 ½ grams of tisane to 12oz of nearly boiling water (190°F), steep for 10 minutes & strain. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to develop. Enjoy!
serving suggestion: I prefer this one hot. I did try it both hot & cold – while delicious served cold, I find that the cup is a lot more like a warm slice of chocolate chip banana bread that’s been liquified & added to a cup of honeybush when it’s served warm! It’s so cozy & delicious! I also find that the flavors seem a little more distinct when it’s warm (but not too hot!)
