This tea was crafted to be my go-to iced tea choice for this summer! It’s sweet, a little tart, bright, fruity & oh-so-refreshing! The perfect cooling beverage for this year’s summer heat!
Tea of the Week for July 1, 2024!
When I started blending for this month’s collection of teas, I had iced tea in mind. The heat of summertime just started to kick in (we actually had a late start to summer heat this year, which was nice, actually) so I just wanted blends that would cold-brew nicely & taste amazing as my iced tea refreshment!
For this blend, I started with my usual blend of black teas (Assam & Yunnan) & combined it with lots of delicious, juicy, refreshing fruit flavors: mangos & strawberries with a squeeze of lemon. The result? Sweet, super fruity & so delicious!
It’s also organic, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-friendly & all natural! Perfect for iced tea, which is why it’s this year’s iced tea blend!
organic ingredients: black teas, mangos, strawberries, lemons & natural flavors
to brew: shake pouch well to ensure all those lovely bits of fruit are well-incorporated throughout & measure 3g of tea & fruit to 12oz of near boiling water (205°F), steep for 3 ½ minutes. Strain & enjoy!
Alternatively, to cold-brew, use the same ratio (I usually use 9g of tea to 36oz of freshly filtered water) & add to a jar or other glass vessel large enough to accommodate. Seal the vessel & stash in the fridge for several hours (I usually keep it cold-brewing overnight). Strain & enjoy!
serving suggestion: I love this served hot, it’s very flavorful & makes a stunning hot cuppa (either unsweetened or with a small drizzle of honey). But where it truly shines is as a cold-brew. Instructions above!
