Tea of the Week for February 13, 2023!

It’s been a while since I’ve done a White Tea & Houjicha Blend, so I decided to remedy that now! Lemon is a favorite flavor combination with white tea (the bright, bold citrus pairs so beautifully with the crisp, light white tea) & when combined with the roasted element of the Houjicha tea, the flavor is reminiscent of one of my all-time favorite desserts!

This is so delicious! It’s also vegan,Read more

Backlog to mark a sipdown from last week. This was definitely a good-to-the-last-drop blend. Come to think of it, I’m not sure whether I’ve seen a lot of other lemon/hojicha combos, which is surprising because it works really well.

AJRimmer Advent Day 4

I tried this one both hot and cold this morning and I think it’s better cold. The lemon flavor is smooth and natural with just a touch of sweetness. I didn’t really get any marshmallow/meringue flavor, which would have been a nice addition, but this was still quite enjoyable!

I really only noticed the white tea here and not the hojicha, but I don’t think hojicha would be right for the flavor profile anyway. The lemon flavor was nice, and there was a bit of creaminess too, so I’d say this one is pretty accurately named. I would have really loved this flavoring on a green rooibos or green base as white just isn’t my preference.

Sipdown. Nice iced with dinner tonight. Flavoring tastes a little better integrated than it did to me before.

HELLLLOOOOO deliciousness! Seriously, this is so good. Like an elevated, more sophisticated version of fan-favorite Glazed Lemon Loaf. It smells like creamy lemon marshmallows and tastes… well, similar! There’s a fantastic balance between zest and sweetness with a little depth from the hojicha. I’ve squeezed like three or four steeps out of my first serving (with a little “boost” from a few additional leaves) and it’s still quite flavorful.

Ugh, so good.

This is my tea of the week for February 13.

This is so good – and it’s almost gone! I do have a little more of this to measure out – which I should have finished by the end of the weekend – but what I do have left of this is not going to last long after that!

Right now, I’m enjoying this as a boba drink that I made. My youngest and I LOVE boba – so much so that I decided that I need to get the ingredients necessary to make boba at home because it was getting expensive to tend to our boba habit! So – this that I’m drinking right now is brown sugar boba, this tea (hot brewed & then chilled) plus a milk cap (also known as cheese foam – I don’t like that name so I call it a milk cap instead!) It is SO good. It is amazing. I love this. It tastes better than anything I’ve ever gotten from a boba shop! So very yummy!
