35 Tasting Notes
I enjoyed a break from straight green tea – the blueberry added a nice sweetness. I probably wouldn’t buy this again but I often get sucked in by this brand, because they have so many yummy-sounding teas and the packaging is nice. Note to self: When in World Market, do not visit the tea section.
I bought a canister of these teabags from World Market. I’ve had more luck with Zhena’s as compared to other bagged teas/tisanes. This was a tasty blend – it satisfied my sweet tooth, and is caffeine-free. You’ll have to like rooibos to like this blend.
I love the fact that Zhena teas are organic and fair trade. Especially lately, I’ve been trying to limit my purchases to those that are.
Wet leaves have a slight floral smell but are not very aromatic. Brew is clear and yellow. Predominant tastes are floral and buttery. Smooth, bright, tea – very nice. Butter flavor lasted through two brews; the third third brew, only the flowery & vegetal hints remain.

I have a hard time not buying tea when I’m in the grocery store, even if I know it’s going to sit on the shelf for months and months. I bought this one to aid digestion. There’s nothing terrible about it, but nothing great, either. Sometimes I add it to black tea when I’m mixing a chai. In essence – “meh.”
I bought a box of this when these tisanes first came on the market, and I still have this one, which tells you something. It’s a bit like broth. In fact, maybe this tea would be better as a base for a soup. I think that’s how I’ll attempt to use the rest of the box. It’s not cutting it as a tisane.
