And I’ve done it! This tea is officially sippeddown!
It was a gift from my significant other, who picked it up at some little gourmet festival.
Its a very floral earl, light and very spring like. Not my favorite earl I’ve ever had, but it was always easy to drink.
I’ve had a nice time with it, but now I’ll send it off. I don’t think I’ll pick up any more.
Bye, Buckingham Palace Garden Party! Sipdown!
Do you ever go and check your cupboard, specifically the part where it tells you how often you’ve drunk a tea? I find myself surprised by some of those numbers. I thought I drank some teas all the time, but my steepster numbers don’t reflect it.
To be fair, maybe its because I haven’t logged it? Oh well.
But I’m enjoying seeing that number go up. My cupboard has lots of things in it I’ve either not yet tried, or that have been sipped only a few time. This is reenergizing me to try my new teas, as well as work on my sipdowns! There has got to be a balance, eh? Between working through the old and trying the new.
Well, even though this is the old, I’m happy to have another drinking logged. I’m close to a sipdown, and its an excellent tea to work on while I’m at work, as it is a bagged blend.
Gosh darn it, I love tea. It makes me so happy!
Today I am really getting a sense of the bergamot, which is playing fairly well with the more floral overtones of this tea.
The base is not nearly as present as I would think ideal, but the whole cup went down without any difficulty.
This is one of my bottomless bags of bagged tea, and I am determined to work towards its sipdown status.
Tea of the morning. I was not feeling energetic, so I grabbed one of the remaining bagged teas in the cupboard, and it yielded this.
I like this, but that liking is nowhere near love, and it doesn’t leave much of an impression as I drink it down. Alas, as I love a well done floral blend.
Ah well. Monday is off and running!
I’ve been working from home today, and I’ve got a lot of work done, and a lot of tea drunk!
I decided my second cup of the morning would be this. I haven’t had it in ages, and I was interested in what I’d think of it again.
And I think its still a decent enough floral black. Nothing spectacular, but solid, and pleasant to drink.
Despite my new influx of fall teas, I’m still working on sipping down some of my less beloved teas.
That, and its going to be 106 today, so forget fall flavors.
This is one of my bagged teas. In my life, there are some mornings when there is nothing for it but to have a quick bagged tea, and moving on.
This, alas, is not my favorite bagged tea. Its a serviceable floral earl grey, but I’m not in love.
Still, it served its purpose this morning!
My air conditioner is fixed! Oh thank goodness, there was a while there I was convinced death was upon me.
So, tea!
Today this was distinctly like a floral earl grey. Not bad, but it didn’t leave much on an impression on me. Ah well.
Now that I’m on a serious tea drinking kick, determined to sipdown many teas, I’ve waded back into the world of my bagged teas.
This is not spectacular, but a completely drinkable floral tea. A floral Earl, I think. I’m not crazy about it, but it will do for an easy cup, when I want it.
This was my gift from by boyfriend, and what a sweet gesture.
This is an interesting combo. The mix of blacks, the earl grey, and the jasmine, floating through the flavors. A chameleon tea, one moment I taste jasmine, one earl grey, and the next a blend of the grouping.
Not going to be a favorite, I think, but actually quite nice. A decent floral black.
