The Original Ceylon Tea Co.

I found this quite an interesting tea. It is a tea swap from a colleague about which I had been quite apprehensive as I am more of a Darjeeling lover. The Green Jasmine tea turned out to be surprising subtle in flavour and perfect to end a long day at work over.

Let me confess to being past my sixtieth birthday. In my more adventurous youth I did things I haven’t done in a long time—and I’m not speaking of sex. I’m prefacing my review thusly, so you understand I’m working from memory here. The taste of this tea reminds me strongly of the taste of…smoking weed. There seems to be a deep, burnt flavor to it, amid all the greenness of the green tea and the mint leaves. I cannot discern more than a hint of the lemon which is supposed to be in this. But really, every time I have made this tea, the flavor takes me back to my twenties and smoking weed—doesn’t get you high, just tastes like it.

Fragrant and perfect to soothe your nerves.

My dad works with a lot of people from Sri Lanka (where ceylon tea is from) and they always bring him back giant boxes of pure ceylon tea. Best present ever. Delicious tea.

very delicious. An interesting sweet and fruity flavor with also a lot of tea flavor on top. Lovely fragrance. Bought it on a whim because I liked the name and I will definitely buy it again.

Very interesting tea, complex flavors and smells yet light with nothing overpowering the rest. If anything the strawberry stand out the most, just behind the oolong kind of tea flavors. Good.

This is a pretty solid tea that tastes exactly what you’d expect green tea+chamomile to taste like.
