One of several sipdowns today! I’m surprised I never made a tasting note for this one – when it was fresh, I really loved it. Unfortunately, its flavor has faded quite a bit over the years. The floral notes are almost entirely gone. There’s still a hint of sweet-tart berry flavor. Mostly it’s just woody rooibos, though. I happen to like that rooibos flavor profile so I finished it off without a problem, but definitely without as much enjoyment as when I first bought it. My fault for hoarding it so long, precisely because I liked it.

A green tea where the fruit flavor is relatively mild – which is great for me, since I don’t like fruit teas where the extras completely overwhelm the taste of the tea leaves. Starfruit is the most prominent note of the fruit, with the mango, orange and papaya much more subtle in the background. Just a nice, well-rounded tea. I’ve only drunk it hot, but I’m sure it would be delicious iced as well.

Flavors: Citrus Fruits, Fruity

Sipdown! It took me about 6 months to get through about 2 oz of this blend. The trick to getting the most flavorful experience with this blend is to overleaf, steep long (5+ minutes), and add rice milk/sugar. At its best, this is a nice chocolatey blend with a bit of kick. At its worst, it’s a woodsy rooibos with more spice in the scent than the flavor. In other words, it’s never bad but not consistently great. I wouldn’t turn it down but I won’t be seeking it out either.
