Backlog:
This one is yummy. It has a lot of spice to it, but it’s not TOO spicy. It has just the right level of spices for my palate. Zesty and warming. I could taste the chipotle, garlic, tomato, and onion flavor, and everything is represented nicely here.
Similarly to the other sipping broth teas that I’ve tried, I don’t taste the green tea a lot here. All of these green tea infused sipping broths are supposed to have green tea in them but I haven’t really tasted it. I think that this would be even better with the green tea as a prominent profile in the taste of this soup.
But, it is a tasty broth … something that would be nice to have on hand to sip on when feeling under the weather. Not a bad broth … but not really a tea.
Backlog:
As I said back when I entered the Tomato Basil Green Tea Sipping Broth into the Steepster database, I’m not sure if I should add these, but because there is tea in them … and you brew them much the same way you’d brew tea (they’re in a tea bag!) I’m going ahead and adding them, mostly because I think that these are kind of neat … and I want to share my thoughts on them with you.
I liked this Indian Spice better than I liked the Tomato Basil which kind of surprised me because I love tomato. But this one tastes more like what it promises … and I can taste more of the green tea in this concoction than I can in the Tomato Basil.
Soothing and comforting, I think that these would be nice to have around if you are feeling a little under the weather and you don’t want to open a can of soup … this is so easy and convenient, and it’ll get you something warm and tasty in your tummy when you need it.
Backlog:
I’m not sure if I should have added this “tea” to the database or not … it’s not “technically” a tea … although the company calls itself “Millie’s Savory Teas” and there’s green tea in the tea bag. It’s a very unusual thing to experience, this sipping broth, and you know I was very excited to try it since it is a tomato sipping broth and I love tomato. (Remember LiberTeas Tomato, Basil and Black Pepper Tea from 52Teas?)
This is definitely more broth than it is tea … because the flavor of the green tea is almost indistinguishable. It’s a tasty broth … but it fails as a tea. I’m not going to rate it because … I don’t know why. I just don’t feel I can fairly rate it because it tastes good, but, it doesn’t taste enough like tea to suit me … so do I rate it high because I enjoyed the taste of the broth … or low because I wanted more tea flavor?
Anyway … it’s an interesting product. I have a couple of other flavors of this product in my possession that came with last month’s Love With Food box, so I’m looking forward to trying those too.
