sipdown!
Let me tell you guys that without tea today I’d probably have slept all day. I took a sleeping pill last night and whatever it was seems to have completely overwhelmed me. So much for being productive!
The dry leaf smells strongly of wood curls and spice. There are also chocolate and roasted notes.
I used extra leaf in this cup so I could be done with my sample. Since I used extra tea for this the flavor really turned out to be deep, chocolate-like, and somewhat floral. There are very light roast notes. This tastes somewhat milky almost; or at least creamy. Overall a pretty good oolong!
This tea looks really lovely! I especially enjoy the curled and dried peel in the mix. This has a very distinct chocolate note to the dry leaf. I can’t seem to find a description somewhere, so I don’t know if this is an addition to the tea or just a wonderful note from the tea itself.
When smelling the liquor there it is reminding me of roasted notes; similar to what I’ve experienced from dong ding. This tea is really lovely because of those roasted and chocolate notes, but I’m so lost on the name! Although there are those curls of rind, there are no citrus notes in the tea. When I chose this I thought that I would be getting a lot more orange, citrus, or floral notes and none of those are in here. But we are left with a nice cuppa that is really great hot.
This was another sample from my recent winnings! I really love the look of this tea. It has very lovely rolled oolong and yellow curls of what I’m assuming is orange peel. The dry leaf has a distinct chocolate note that may or may not be a side effect of storage. Either way, this smells and looks quite nice!
Mmm, this is quite nice! There are chocolate notes, sweet and light citrus, and amazingly sweet. I like this one quite a bit! It has a bit of a honeyed flavor to it.
