I bought this tea for my mother-in-law, whose tea of choice is Blackcurrant black tea from Twining’s. It worked well enough, but wasn’t as fine as Twining’s tea. It was a little overly sweet and you could separately taste the tea and then the flavouring. Not the best, but it works in a pinch.

(Also so bizarre that I forget about this random website and then recall it once every two or three years lmao.)

Yep, black currant tea!

With milk and honey right now.

I bought this to ice, but I do not like it iced. So I’m drinking what I have hot.

Made into an iced tea with honey. Not bad. Probably needed more leaves but I was using the reminder of my bag.

Would buy again. Possibly. In the future. When transit isn’t as much of a serious health risk.

Weirdly I can drag the bars on my Android but not on my iPad. Oh, Steepster.

Slightly Sweet from the hibiscus, with a nice lingering bite from the ginger. The taste is reminiscent of ginger beer due to these two ingredients. Is great iced or warm.

Flavors: Ginger, Honey, Marzipan

I really like Bulk Barn’s teas, I’ve had a few really pleasant surprises from there and so when they came out with a new selection, I was really excited and purchased a couple.

Peach Ginger Black Tea sounded like the perfect tea for me. I love sweet black teas that are a little spicy, but not necessarily chais.

And I find it a little disappointing. I really like the body of the tea and it smells great, but the peach flavour just gives it a funny aftertaste. It feels artificial and almost like a cordial aftertaste, so that just ruins the whole tea for me.

I still find it drinkable, but it’s a disappointing one for sure and I won’t be purchasing it again.

This tea is great for an afternoon type tea, if you like black teas in the afternoon. Somehow, it doesn’t feel super caffeinated or feel heavy on the tannin or acidity so it feels more mellow than most black teas, which I think is true of oolong.

This has a lovely mango / coconut flavour combination and tastes as good as it smells while brewing. I tend to put this at the back of the cupboard, but I should bring it to the front more.

I’m rating this so highly because it was a pure surprise for me. I’m not usually a fan of green tea but I love lavender and this tea tastes so good.

The lavender comes through really strongly and balances well with the softer, more mellow green tea. It’s really layered and totally a hidden gem. This is a lovely floral tea and a total staple in my cupboard. It’s one of my favourite green teas.

Wow. Picked up this tea at the Bulk Barn (not sure what the company name is for the tea)-but it was pretty and smelled heavenly so I needed to try it. This tea lives up to the name. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with the chocolate chips in this tea but how can you go wrong with chocolate chips right? Will have to go grab some more. It’s a cheap tea too. I got enough for 2 cups worth and it was only .55cents!

Very good tea, I love roiboos vanilla tea and I tried many from different brands. This one is very good and well balanced. You get the nice rich flavor of the roiboos with a nice touch of vanilla. The vanilla doesn’t taste artificial like other brands I tried.
Taste the same like now discontinued version of David’s but for less than 1/4, so can’t go wrong here.tea.

Not a lot of strawberry or coconut flavour, but you can taste a dusty, bitter flavour from the tea.

Not as tasty as I was hoping. You can slightly taste some fruity flavour, but the tea taste seemed off to me. It also over steeps easily.

Great! The aroma and taste are nicely balanced. Rhodiola is a wonder herb and sure does boost energy! For best result, brew at just below boiling so the herb takes full effect.

Nothing particularly stands out about the tea. It is a black tea pure and straight. It evokes nothing but allows you to drink it without thought, without taste. But it is in taking the tea that one can spend a whole day drinking it and not even notice.

The book I recommend for this tea is Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. Like any of Murakami’s books, this one doesn’t stray far from the complexities of the narrator’s relationships. What is thoroughly enjoyable about the book is that Murakami always has that style to turn the mundane, daily conversations and moments that people take for granted into beauty and become monuments in the person’s life. Just like the tea, of which doesn’t stand out.

Not my favorite tea but my first time trying an Assam at home. Definitely a stronger tasting tea and for the person who has more of coffee palette. It is both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.

For this tea, I would recommend the book Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

drank Cranberry Hibiscus by Bulk Barn

Some of this mixed with the last of the Raspberry Balsamico.

With honey.

And still – holy smokes, that is so sour I don’t want to drink it.

Ok, back to the tea kettle.

OMGsrsly

I tried cold brewing some for 4 hours too. It was TERRIBLE. I got rid of it all. :/ Oh well.

I got this for cold steeping, and omg. SO SOUR. Like, my teeth feel weird kind of sour.

Much better with some sugar, but I don’t want to add sugar to my “juice” teas.

So I won’t be getting this one again either, although I’ll actually finish the 50g or so that I bought. (Which was $2, so really not a big deal.)

Oh, this isn’t bad at all. Which is really surprising, TBH.

The pomegranate is heavy on the candy scent, which is why I picked this tea up. The sencha is sadly still quite vegetal and green, which isn’t my favourite, but the flavours come together pretty well.

I won’t be rushing out for more of this, but I don’t regret trying it. :)

No.

Oh dear.

I had this and agree. The Orange Oolong was better.

OMGsrsly

Yeah this one was really bad. I didn’t get any orange oolong and I kind of regret it. Next time!

At least the other two teas I got aren’t bad even though they’re not excellent either.

I REALLY love this tea. I drink a lot of tea and this is one of my favorites. I have recommended it to many of my friends. So I was very disappointed to find out today, when I went to buy more, that it was not available. I hope very much that this is a temporary glitch and that this wonderful tea will soon be back on the shelf at Bulk Barn … please please please.
