Used one of the sachets with about 16 oz of water. The dry tea smelled like a strong Earl Grey. However after I steeped it the smokiness overpowered the bergamot. I added some sugar and as the tea cooled I could taste a hint of bergamot. Next time I might try this mixed with another Earl Grey to help fight the smoke.

Not a bad tea but not one I would buy. Glad I got to sample it.

drank Baroness Grey by Culinary Teas

At first sip maybe a little too strong, I will have to decrease the steep time next time, and maybe have the water be below boiling.

It’s a pretty powerful Earl Grey, it reminds me of Russian Earl Grey, only more floral. Very citrus, I can still taste the bergamot but I can also taste lemon and I think orange rind. It is a good blend.

drank Pumpkin Spice by Adagio Teas

Tastes more flowers and spices than actually like pumpkin. A little disappointing. But not too bad a tea by itself.

I thought I could improve it by using brown sugar instead of white… but it still does not taste much like pumpkin, just pumpkin pie spice. Very inferior to David’s Tea Pumpkin chai.

I have been wanting to try this tea for months and finally got it in a swap. I am not disappointed. It tastes like pumpkin, really like pumpkin, not just like cinnamon and nutmeg like a lot of pumpkin teas. I had it with some brown sugar and some half&half.

I will need to order a couple ounces of this.

This is my favorite sample from Nina’s. I can taste the rooibos, slightly woody. The apricot flavor comes through strong but not too strong, hints of peach and it is very creamy. The tea is fine on its own but I added just a few drops of cream, no sugar needed. This is a good dessert tea for the evening, and because there is no caffeine I do not have to worry about it keeping me up all night.

Fruity, incredibly fruity. Maybe too fruity if that is possible. Since I opened the sample all I can smell or taste is raspberry and red currant. I am starting to panic for fear I will never taste anything else ever again.

I let the tea cool to room temperature while I ran some errands. The fruityness is not so overwhelming now. I think this might make a good iced tea. I do not taste any caramel or vanilla though.

I kept the steep short like you, but I did use just under boiling water. Do you think that made yours significantly stronger? Also, have you tried a second steep? Mine was much lighter yet still really smooth and yummy.

Lazey

I haven’t had a chance to do a second steeping, I think the second steeping might be better than the first.

Very citrus, fruity, and slightly floral. I could not taste the pineapple but I could taste the orange and mandarin well enough. Tart but not too tart. I like it with a little sugar.

On the second steeping the orange taste is even stronger.

The ETS was selling 25 count pouches of this tea bagged for pretty cheap so I decided to give it a try. It’s has a sickly sweet smell so I thought I would try drinking it straight thinking it would not need sugar- it is not as sweet as it smells and was a little bitter. But once I added a bit of sugar it was quite sweet and tasted just like maple syrup. I don’t think I would buy this tea again but it’s not bad. I bet kids would love it.

drank Citron Green by Harney & Sons

Someone sent me a sachet of this tea and I tried it today. The sachets are supposed to be for 2 cups of tea so I got the biggest mug I could find. And had it straight, no sugar for a change.

I thought it was pretty good. A delicate green tea and a lot of citrus flavor but not too much. More vegetal than fruity. If I put in an order with Harney & Sons I’ll get some more of this.

Yes, their sachets say to go with 12 ounces of water, though their bags are eight, I believe.

Lazey

Yeah, I’m used to making teas in the little 8oz cups.

This is a powerful cup of tea! If you’re not awake when you brew this tea you will be by the time you’re halfway through the first cup. You can really taste the Irish bit.

Also very strong tea, I got 3 cups out of one teaspoon of leaves and it’s only just starting to weaken.
