68 Tasting Notes
Hated it… bought it and was so excited to try it, unfortunately it took me forever to take a sip without burning my tongue. Additionally the tea steeped for a really long time as I could not drink it at the right steep time. I replaced this with the Aladdin Travel mug and I am much happier with it. At least with the Aladdin you can lift the basket once the tea has reached the correct steep time.
Love this “tea”… The dry smell is delicious, it is like taking a whiff of an apple pie. The taste might even be better. I can definitely get the apples and the almonds. I also love that is is caffeine-free. A perfect evening treat. Oh and the brewed color is this wonderful shade of pink. Funny enough this tea made me buy a see through glass mug, just so I can see the liquid.
Preparation
Having this right now… The brewed color is amazing. A deep rich red. The dry smell is really nice, I can really smell the lemongrass. First taste… not bad. Its light and refreshing. I think it would be really great cold, but I am not a fan of iced tea. Its okay hot, I don’t mind it at all… yet I don’t think I would buy it again.
I really like this one. I can taste the almonds with a hint of chocolate. I see that it is also supposed to have a raspberry taste, but I did not get that. I would buy this again.
Having this again… I am going to increase its rating… it is really good. As soon as I opened the bag I got an awesome hit of the chocolate. I even think I smelled the energy from the mate. Okay, so the later might just be a placebo effect, but it is true, the smell made me feel energized. I need to buy more of it as I am now on my last cup.
I don’t know how I feel about this tea. I love the smell, you can really smell the orange and chocolate. The taste however, is not always great. The first time I did it I thought it tasted weak. You could get hints of both the chocolate and orange, but not enough to make me giddy. The second time I think I over-steeped, making it taste bitter. I don’t hate it but I won’t be buying it again.
Preparation
My first tasting note… I was introduced to this obsession, er.. loose leaf tea on Christmas day when my husband bought me my first steeper. Something changed in me that day I went from being a coffee drinker to being a tea drinker. I have 15 different teas in my cupboard and it has only been 4 weeks. Okay, so lets start with this tea. I love the smell, it is peppery and chocolatey. It is my favorite thus far. I love the heat you get when you take a sip. The first thing you taste is the chocolate and then bam, you get the heat. It is a perfect tea for the cold Canadian winters.
